Hey guys, I'm Steven.

I'm a certified BMW and Triumph technician, and today we're going to be going over how to change brake pads on your motorcycle.

First thing you're going to want to do is break your two caliper bolts loose.

Mine happen to be 13mm.

Whatever tool you need, make sure you have before you fully remove these, you want to make sure you break your slide pin loose.

Otherwise you're not going to be able to get it loose when it's off of the bike.

And make sure you remove the locking clip.

I just use a pick.

Now that the bolts are out, you're just going to kind of shimmy your caliper off.

You do want to be careful not to make your wheel.

It is going to be a fairly tight squeeze and now you're up.

Now we're going to fully remove this slide pin.

This is where you'll be very grateful that you already broke it loose.

It will be under some spring tension.

You can just press down on your spring clip here to help remove that.

Take it all the way out.

You'll pop your clip out.

Make sure you don't lose this or forget the orientation of it and your pads are out.

Now that we're apart, you'll just take your new brake crafters brake pads, put them in the caliper.

You might have to spread your Pistons out a bit with new pads.

That's pretty easy to do.

And then just make sure you get your spring clip oriented correctly and reinstall in the reverse order of removal.
